Introducing the SaaS App Factory™: Secure Any SaaS Application

There are thousands of SaaS applications that require security coverage, including niche applications built for specific enterprise needs. Modern organizations are stuck in a conundrum: the need to adopt new technologies and SaaS applications quickly to be efficient and productive, while ensuring their organizational data is secure. Unfortunately, this balancing act often leads to delays and frustrations. Security teams are increasingly viewed as the “department of no” instead of helping to drive success along with other business units.

At Reco, we understand this balancing act between nimbleness and security. On average, Reco customers have over 850 connected applications and around 12,000 connected accounts. That’s why we’re launching the SaaS App FactoryTM. Through an easy develop-and-deploy approach, the SaaS App FactoryTM extends SaaS security expertise, insights, and continuous monitoring from Reco to any SaaS application.

This is a game changer for SaaS, allowing enterprises to implement a common security framework with a consistent set of policies to ensure universal coverage of all SaaS applications in their tech stack. A new integration is available in Reco within 3-5 days, a development velocity that is ten times faster than other SaaS security solutions.

Rapid Integration with the Reco SaaS Security Platform

The SaaS App FactoryTM develops new application integrations using low-code, no-code development. We scan the SaaS application API and then combine with our AI and LLM to ensure depth of coverage of each new SaaS application. AI-automation powered by Reco’s Identities Interaction Graph discovers misconfigurations and access within each SaaS application. We leverage our AI and LLM to provide context that determines what should be prioritized within the app across posture, identities & data.

Each app developed through the SaaS App FactoryTM includes critical SaaS Security functionality:

  • Assess posture with one-click checks
  • Mapping to compliance frameworks
  • Discovery of associated identities
  • Visibility into connected 3rd-party apps (including shadow apps)
  • Prioritized alerts automated within SIEM/SOAR response workflows
  • Detections based on real-world cyber attack scenarios

Organizations can connect their SaaS environment within minutes via API, no agent in line. Reco then ingests each layer across SaaS applications, identities, and metadata with zero impact on performance. Once data is aggregated and normalized, the first thing we deliver are posture checks, identities, and then data.

Our customers have direct access to our SaaS experts, best practices, and solution architects that  accelerate delivery of SaaS security within the Reco platform.

Extend SaaS Security Across Your Business - Any App, Any User

You name it, we’ll integrate it. Reco has a catalog of available integrations that we add to as each new application integration goes live. Customers can tap into these integrations to leverage a common security framework and consistent set of security policies across their business.

If you have a SaaS application that’s critical to you, we can secure it through the SaaS App FactoryTM. Our team’s development velocity allows us to integrate both core SaaS applications as well as more niche ones. As of today, the SaaS App FactoryTM offers comprehensive security to over 50 SaaS applications including Salesforce, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Workday, Snowflake, Okta, Slack, GitHub, JumpCloud, Oracle NetSuite, Oracle Cloud Applications, and many more. Our team plans to develop native integrations to over 180 SaaS applications by the end of 2024.

Quick Integration without Compromising Security

We are taking the same level of precautions with the SaaS App FactoryTM in terms of API access and governance. Reco is non intrusive and requires read-only access to the application metadata. The platform leverages Descope to ensure our authentication and user management are integrated securely.

A SaaS App FactoryTM Story

One publicly-traded insurance company was desperate to secure a SaaS application that was critical to their core business functionality. They waited over 3 months as another vendor struggled to integrate the application and still were told it wouldn’t be possible without more delays. Understandably frustrated, they came to Reco to see what we could do.

We were able to fully integrate our SaaS security platform with their core application within one day of receiving the request using the SaaS App FactoryTM

Conclusion

The SaaS App FactoryTM enables enterprises to leverage the functionality and depth of Reco’s SaaS security platform to ensure universal coverage of both their current SaaS stack, but also those apps they’ll onboard as their business grows.

Within the POV process, Reco will build an integration with any SaaS application of choice by the participating organization. If you’re ready to offer universal SaaS security coverage to your entire tech stack, you can reach out to our team to request a demo.
