Why We Integrate with Cyera to Fight AI Sprawl Across SaaS and Data

I've spent a lot of time over the past few years talking to CISOs and security leaders about the evolving threat landscape. And no matter the industry, the company size, or the security stack, I keep hearing a version of the same thing: "I know I have a data problem. I just don't know where it intersects with my SaaS problem."
That gap, between data security and SaaS security, is exactly what we're closing today. I'm proud to announce that Reco and Cyera are partnering to deliver complete AI security coverage, from data to SaaS and back.
The Problem Nobody was Solving
This is the reality that enterprise security teams are living with every day. Sensitive data, customer records, PII, and financial information, are sprawling across hundreds of SaaS applications and AI tools. Many of those tools were adopted by employees without formal IT approval. Some of them are AI agents that are actively reading, writing, and moving data across your environment right now.
At the same time, the threats targeting that data, compromised accounts, overshared files, and exfiltration through SaaS workflows, are happening in those same applications that your data security tools cannot see.
The result is that security teams end up with two dashboards, two alert queues, and two sets of findings that they have to manually reconcile. Before this integration, a low posture score on a SaaS application looked the same whether it involved a sandbox test file or a database of customer PII. That ambiguity is where real risk hides.
What Cyera Brings to the Table
Cyera has built a strong foundation for data security. Their Data Security Posture Management platform gives organizations clarity over their data: what they have, where it lives, how sensitive it is, and who has access to it. That foundation matters. You cannot protect data you have not classified, and you cannot prioritize risks you cannot contextualize.
When I first started engaging with the Cyera team, what stood out was how complementary our approaches are. Cyera's strength is deep data intelligence. Reco's strength is broad SaaS and identity visibility. Those are not competing capabilities; they are two halves of the same security loop. And Reco and Cyera are incredibly powerful together.
What Reco Adds
Reco maps your entire SaaS and AI estate across 225+ applications, including shadow AI tools and agents that your IT team may not know exist. We track identities, permissions, behaviors, and data flows in real time. Our Knowledge Graph connects the dots between who is doing what, in which application, and what data they are touching.
Here is what that means in practice: Cyera tells you that a particular data store contains sensitive PII. Reco tells you that a contractor's account just downloaded files from a SaaS application linked to that data store, shared them externally, and that same account has been flagged for anomalous behavior in three other apps. Without that context, the Cyera finding is important. With that context, it is urgent and actionable.
Cyera surfaces the risk. Reco detects it. Together, we give your security team everything they need to respond with speed and precision.
Why This is a Big Deal for the Market
AI adoption is moving faster than security teams can track. According to what we're seeing across our customer base, AI enablement is now the number one business initiative inside enterprise organizations, and it is bringing with it hundreds of new apps, millions of new agents, and an entirely new attack surface that legacy tools were not built to handle.
Reco was built to cover the past, the present, and the future of SaaS and AI security. We secure the monolithic SaaS platforms of yesterday, the SaaS sprawl of today, and the agentic AI ecosystems that are emerging right now. Pairing that capability with Cyera's data intelligence creates a joint solution that is positioned well ahead of where the market is heading.
For CISOs, this means one integrated view of data risk, from storage to access to sharing to exfiltration, without requiring their teams to manually connect the dots between two separate tools. That is a meaningful shift in how enterprise security teams can operate.
What We're Building Together
We're not just announcing a partnership; we're building toward a deeply integrated, bidirectional security loop. Today, Reco ingests Cyera's classification labels and uses them to enrich our file management dashboard and data-aware alerting. That is live now.
On our roadmap: enriching Reco’s agent security module with Cyera’s classification for agents.
A Note on Why I'm Personally Excited
I've worked in channel partnerships and alliances for a long time. The partnerships that actually move the needle, for customers and for both companies, are the ones where the integration tells a story that neither product could tell alone. That is rare. This is one of those partnerships.
While talking to CISOs about the joint Reco and Cyera solution, I'm not pitching two tools. I'm describing a single security loop: one where your data intelligence and your SaaS visibility reinforce each other, where every alert carries the context you need to act, and where the question "is this urgent?" has a clear, data-backed answer.
No blind spots. No manual bottlenecks. No gaps in discovery.
That's the promise of this partnership, and we're just getting started.
