In The Top Cybersecurity Projects for 2026, Gartner names eight projects a security team can realistically finish in twelve months, four that advance AI security and four that strengthen resilience.

Read them closely and in our view three turn on the same question of who, and what, can reach your systems: mapping the AI systems and agents footprint, reducing the identity and access management (IAM) attack surface, and enforcing security in AI development workflows. All three come back to human and machine identities.
